Dandenong Park
Dandenong Ranges National Park is part of the traditional Country of the Wurundjeri People. The mountains near Melbourne contain tranquil forest walks, quaint hilltop towns and charismatic wildlife. This historically significant park, of more than 17 hectares, includes Dandenong Creek, a regional bike trail, and the Shepley Oval, a football and cricket club established in 1874.
A popular weekend destination for Melburnians, visitors can also walk through the park to appreciate the floral display or visit the district playground and its adjoining picnic and barbecue area.
The City of Greater Dandenong and ASPECT studios recently transformed this well-loved park. Multi-purpose open space areas now facilitate a broad range of recreational pursuits for visitors and the local multicultural community.
