Subiaco Oval Stadium at Subi East
Subiaco Oval Stadium at Subi East, WA
Subi East is a major urban redevelopment project that will create a vibrant community with about 2,700 new homes to meet future housing needs across the Perth metropolitan area.
The Oval, a new mixed-use residential precinct around the demolished Optus Stadium, is the first stage of the 35-hectare development. Across the Oval Precinct, about 15% of the 1,000 new dwellings will be delivered as social housing.
The iconic Subiaco Oval has long symbolised Perth’s sporting culture. UDLA Landscape Architects’ redesign is a triumph of thoughtful design, blending history with innovation to create a dynamic, inclusive community space.
It features a new nature play area, a parkour course, a youth plaza, and shaded spaces for recreational activities, including Christie A Series barbecues.
Beyond sports, Subiaco Oval is primed to become a cultural epicentre. The flexible design allows for the seamless hosting of concerts, festivals, and community events. Whether it’s a weekend market, a cultural festival, or a casual meet-up with friends, Subiaco Oval has become the beating heart of a vibrant and connected neighbourhood.
