An Inviting Riverfront Retreat

Devonport Waterfront Park is central to the city’s Living City Master Plan, transforming the waterfront into a lively place for recreation, events, and community gatherings.

ASPECT Studios and Lyons Architecture designed this award-winning park to reconnect Devonport with the Mersey River. The park offers open spaces, nature play areas, public facilities, and places for everyone to meet.

Christie supplied the electric barbecue cooktops for the park’s custom communal barbecue and dining area. This helps create a welcoming space where locals and visitors can gather and enjoy the waterfront.

The park shows Devonport’s character by blending warm natural materials with bold industrial features. Timber, stone, and plants make the area feel inviting, while exposed steel and modern touches remind visitors of the city’s maritime and industrial history. The custom barbecue and picnic area follows this design, creating a practical and visually unified spot for people to gather by the water.
