Whale Park along the Aura Park Trail

Community connections at Whale Park

Stockland’s Aura development in Banya, Queensland, is quickly becoming the heart of a vibrant, growing community. With 8,800 residents and counting, the area is buzzing with excitement, and the newly opened Whale Park is a key part of what makes this place unique.

Whale Park is more than just a park – it’s a gathering spot for families, friends, and neighbours to connect, relax, and enjoy the great outdoors together. The park’s ocean-inspired design gives it a fun and refreshing vibe, making it a must-visit for anyone in the area.

A striking, wildlife-themed playground is one of the park’s most exciting features. Designed by Urban Play, Eureka Landscapes, and Kompan Australia, it features a gigantic whale play structure that stretches over 20 meters long and stands 3.5 meters high. The playground is an inclusive space with slides, climbing frames, and swings that offer endless fun for kids of all ages and abilities.

Whale Park isn’t just for the little ones – it has something for everyone. There’s a basketball half-court for sports enthusiasts, a cycle loop for bikers, and plenty of green space to relax or enjoy the great outdoors. Plus, with an amenities block, picnic facilities, and sheltered barbecue facilities, it’s the perfect place for a family get-together, a birthday celebration, or even a casual afternoon getting to know new neighbours.

Whether sports, relaxation, or a casual barbecue, Whale Park is a community hub for fun, bonding, and making memories.
