Banks Reserve

Embracing Nature and Community: Discovering Banks Reserve in Mount Lawley.

Banks Reserve is a place of natural beauty and Aboriginal cultural significance. Located on the banks of the Swan River in Mount Lawley, WA, the reserve spreads across 10 acres of verdant landscape. It highlights a blend of modern infrastructure and recreational amenities to foster community engagement and enhance the outdoor experience.

The reserve’s design prioritises functionality, nature, and Country. Pathways meander through lush gardens and open lawns, encouraging strolls and active recreation. The park’s centrepiece is its newly developed, expansive nature playground, with inclusive design and state-of-the-art equipment for children of all ages.

Adjacent to the playground are well-maintained barbecue facilities and picnic areas. Strategically placed under shaded pavilions, they provide a comfortable setting for gatherings and social events, supporting community interaction and creating a venue for local events and family outings.

Eco-friendly practices are integrated into the reserve’s design, with rain gardens and energy-efficient lighting contributing to its sustainable footprint. The park’s landscaping includes native plantings to support local wildlife and contribute to environmental conservation.

As Mount Lawley continues to grow, Banks Reserve is poised to play a central role in enhancing the quality of life for its residents, fostering a sense of community and promoting outdoor engagement.
