Williams Reserve

Located on bustling Victoria Street, Williams Urban Reserve is a much-loved inner-city park in Richmond, Melbourne. To meet the local multicultural community’s needs, Hansen Partnership lead a consultative re-development of the reserve. The result is a public space that preserves the park’s significant history while bringing calm to an urban destination.

The contemporary oasis has curved paths, mature trees, and paving that resonates with the retail culture environment. Amenities include a children’s playground, seating, and modern picnic settings with a Christie wheelchair accessible public barbecue. The smart redesign provides the community with a disability-accessible inner-city backyard to relax and socialise Williams Urban Reserve.
