2018 Commonwealth Games Athletes Village
The 2018 Commonwealth Games Athletes Village housed 6,600 international athletes and officials in 18 purpose-built dwellings, including 1,170 apartments and 82 townhouses communal barbecue facilties.
The 7.3-hectare green space includes extensive landscaped areas with walking paths and recreation areas with Christie communal barbecues. We were specified to provide durable, reliable, and energy-efficient barbecue facilities for hungry athletes and future residents.
The Smith Collective has transformed the village into a thriving residential and retail centre. Part of the Gold Coast Health and Knowledge Precinct, it is now home to Queensland’s leading universities, hospitals and retail communal barbecue facilties.
